The Roman Road to Salvation
aka The Gospel

I love the 'Romans Road' because it so simply spells out The Gospel.

We're all sinners by nature and by choice

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)

We receive eternal life as a free gift

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a]Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

God demonstrated His love for us, His enemies

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

We must trust and surrender to Jesus as Lord

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Romans 10:9 - 10)

Our assurance of salvation through Jesus

for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

Would you like to follow the Romans Road to salvation?

If so, here is a simple prayer you can pray to God. Saying this prayer is a way to declare to God that you are relying on Jesus Christ for your salvation. The words themselves will not save you. Only faith in Jesus Christ can provide salvation! "God, I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. With your help, I place my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness - the gift of eternal life! Amen!"
